Would you like Codi Cooperatiu to be a part of your life?

What do we offer?

  • Enviable work environment.

  • Economic project focused on the stability of the jobs.

  • Client portfolio and engaging projects.

  • Part time possibility.

  • Flexible working hours and 100% remote.

  • 35 working hours per week.

  • Base salary of 22.800€ annually (~ 25.700 if it was for 40h weekly).

  • 24 holiday working days.

  • Extra paycheck depending on the potential annual benefits.

  • Annual budget for medical expenses, equipment, training and many others.

  • Working in an IT group that uses and experiments with agile methodologies.

  • Possibility of training in other technologies and methodologies that we are yet not working with if there is interest.

  • Experience the cooperative world from the perspective of a non-profit cooperative, still growing.

  • Being part of a real tool for changing the world.

We know that it is a base salary that is low in comparison to the average of the technology sector. We consider these work conditions as a starting point and precisely to have more margin and better salaries we need to grow as a team.

During the first year you will be a partner on trial: you will have a say in everything and a vote in most of the decisions.

What do we mean with

“limiting the men proportion”?

We are aware that the fact that the project was founded by 3 cis men is not a coincidence, but the consequence of a series of privileges derived from the education and socialization that we have received.

The technology sector has many endemic problems of male chauvinism: the teams are strongly masculinized and there are all kinds of prejudices, attitudes, aggressions and underestimations for everyone that is different. Obviously there are exceptions, but the norm are environments that are hostile for many people and especially for women.

This worries us and we do not want to reproduce it in our cooperative. Although our starting point is controversial and far from perfect, we want to make it clear that our motivation is not to cover quotas or be able to demonstrate diversity in numbers, but to build a diverse and, mostly, welcoming work environment.

We do not believe that with a protocol and good intentions we can win ourselves the medal and leave it there. We understand that the characteristics that spaces must have to be safer are known by people who suffer violence better than by anyone. And thus comes the motivation to want the base of the members with voice and vote to be made up mostly of people who are not men.

We are not sure if trans men should be included in the same maximum quota of men, from the outset we think so. That said, we understand that some realities are so far removed from those of cis men that it couls be discussed.

We are also aware that there are many other men who could benefit from a safer environment as they suffer violence from other axes of oppression such as racism, homophobia and biphobia, ableism and many others. If this is your case and you are interested in the project or you have comments about this whole approach, please write to us, we are all ears.
